There is a patch to convert D2:ED + FoV to DKS, not officially released yet, but available (or at least was) if you email support (see
Looking for testers for FOV2DKS patch ). I don't know for sure that this patch changes the camera system, so you may want to confirm that first if you decide to go that route rather than waiting for DKS. There should be an announcement soon on when DKS will be available in North America.
I don't know if or when a patch just for D2:ED may be released.
