I'm having problems with the platforms in Lovis' Tower I can't even get past the first set. Part of this I suspect has to do with playing on a laptop without benefit of a mouse. That should be rectified soon. How ever, if anyone could give any tricks or tips about jumping, especially in that quest I'd be grateful- Ariella

Without a mouse? Ouch!

Left ring on the "1", left middle on the "2", left index on the "W" and "S" (back-and-forth), thumb on the "Space". Right hand directional (until you catch a mouse).

I'd like to close by quoting Bellegar's famous last rhyme:

"Cursed be the mother that bred thee!
The wench must have been a hell-spawned banshee!"

You can also purchase a USB mouse for $20 or less to hook up to your laptop.

Every time there I run into trouble on the road, there is always a dwarf at the bottom of it. Don't they know how to drive above ground?

Yeah, without a mouse is ouch in more ways than one... my poor right hand tends to hurt after I've been on the computer for a while.

Also many thanks for the advice, between what you gave me and what the hubby was able to do (better twitch reflexes) I finally finished the tower. Now all I have to do is Maxios' room of jumping (that mouse better come soon)

I wish I could figure out a way to jury rig one of my wireless xbox360 controllers to play these parts but I have no idea where to begin.

You need an Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver to use an xbox gamepad on a PC. MS has stopped making the stand-alone receiver in the US (it is still included in a bundle with a wireless controller), but a quick web search still found a couple places with it listed ($11-13 including shipping), and you can try any local computer/electronics/game stores.
