I am currently level 33, (so i guess everything is OP) But it seems to me firewall is more OP than explosive arrows. All I do is get in the middle of 3 or 4 enemies and set off a firewall, then back out of the circle and make them chase me through the wall itself. It is almost a 1 hit kill. Even on Kali.

Well, a warrior with a maxed firewall is also a killing machine, you just need some health-leech to kill about any group. No need to back out the circle, by the way.

On normal mode in ED, that made the game easier than with my mage.

I personal find the Mage spells (like Firewall) have more power than playing a pure Ranger/Archer. But Explosive Arrows are also powerful!

But since I don't know nothing about the "fire resistances" of the different enemies, I don't know if Firewall (and other "Fire damage" related attacks like fire curse or Fireball ...)
is strong against ALL kind of enemies
OR Firewall is just more effective by a certain kind of enemies ???

In Divinty II you can see the % you're resist to Ranged, Melee and/or Magic attacks on your "statsitics" window.
So far I know Firewall is a skill of the Mage, so it is most effective by Rangers and Melee combat enemies?
If I'm right(?) you can follow the logical path that is:
Melee fighters are strong against melee attacks because of their Strength is higher, but weaker against ranged or magical attacks .
Rangers are stronger against ranged attacks because of their Dexerity is higher, but weaker etc....
Mages are stronger against magical attacks because of their Intelligence is higher, but weaker ... etc ...

But there're also enemies that have more than one kind of tacktical offense (and defense!), like Ambusias. Or Laiken, who make use of the summoning spell to summon melee fighters etc ... (if I remember right?)

It's up to you to find out more of the weakness(es) of enemies wink

Just got this game from Steam sale and i reach lvl 15 as a mage.

Test out the firewall just now. Its really good but you're require to get into melee range and get beat to a pulp by other melee mobs. Quite fun.

If a tank able to use firewall, their damage should be extremely low unless they invest in a lot into Int to make thing a bit more balance for the mobs. O wait nvm tehe

silly

I am a warrior, pretty much the only skills I ever use are firewall (level 13 when I ended) rush (only put 1 into this to close with enemies) explosive arrows (level 13 when I finished) and summon demon (level 11 when I finished) the rest went into two handed weapons, sword and shield, wisdom, mindread, and lockpick

Since I am always in melee range I found the firewall to be better than the arrows.

That's because you're a Warrior. You don't have the supporting skills (such as Ranger Strength and Way of the Ranger) for your Exploding Arrows to be effective. Having Exploding Arrows alone by itself is nothing but wasted skill points IMHO.

I'd like to close by quoting Bellegar's famous last rhyme:

"Cursed be the mother that bred thee!
The wench must have been a hell-spawned banshee!"

Didn't think about that. I don't used ranged attack much after broken valley anyways
