If Oblivion got Divinity voice actors instead of using the same voice actor, that game would be a long live for me instead of a snore feast o.0
I quite liked most of Oblivion's voice actors, who I think ranged from "okay" to "very good". The main problem they had was trying to voice
everything when there wasn't enough space on the disc to store the complete dialogue for more than the dozen regular voices they used; had they used a mixture of voice and text they could've probably doubled the number of voices and given us a lot more variety instead of just one male and female voice per race. Or two to three races, often.
I got used to it after a while but I can see why people complain about it. It wasn't helped by the fact that even with different voices, many of the lines (especially background dialogue) were recorded word-for-word.
There is a mod somewhere that changes intonation and consequently gives a bit more variety, e.g. Elf Woman's voice was raised in pitch for Bosmer voices and lowered for Dunmer, which doesn't sound much but it does make a difference.
