I am a warrior... Since I am always in melee range I found the firewall to be better than the arrows.
That's because you're a Warrior. You don't have the supporting skills (such as Ranger Strength and Way of the Ranger) for your Exploding Arrows to be effective. Having Exploding Arrows alone by itself is nothing but wasted skill points IMHO.
