Hi Y'all

First, I'm just curious about something.
To wit -- I have my game option set on "casual" and I wonder if because of that I'm getting ahead of the story? I've rid the Broken Valley landscape of almost all goblins and bandits, I've already met Lord Lovis but I'm only up to level 13 and am presently being 'tested' in the Maxos temple. Is that average?

I feel like I'm missing a lot of stuff in between. I haven't enchanted anything. All I've been doing is killing things and collecting gold to upgrade my weapons, ect. etc.

All that aside, I'm now trapped in the temple IOW, I can't open the door. I 'think' I passed the 'agility' test. I made it through the moving platforms, clicked on all the switches. I guess that to oped the door, I have to have all the dragon heads spewing green smoke? But I can't figure out how to do that?

Any advice, thoughts?

Thanks,
Jim R.

In D2:ED entering Maxos temple finished a quest that brought me up to level 15. In DKS there were some balancing changes (a few people mentioned being a higher level getting to the place you first meet Talana without doing anything differently compared to D2:ED), but I'd guess there are probably a few other areas or quests left to do in Broken Valley.

BTW, at the end of Maxos temple you will gain access to Sentinel Island. Your first encounter there you can mindread to go up a level, so the higher level you are (in D2:ED I made it to level 18 in the fjords) the more of an experience bonus that will be. You don't need to get to a high level, but it would be better if you got to a new level before entering, to get a full level bonus.
