Eh I've charmed just about everything so far, including named characters (members of the power ranger squad, the slayer kill team, the black ring goons at maxo's etc.) The really tough black rings near the end of ED are susceptible (occasionally resistant) to charm as well such as the healers and the summoners. And if they manage to resist charm you can cast it again without the cooldown kicking in. Charm has saved my life more times than i can imagine...it's why i'm lv 30, killing stuff at flying fortresses and i have about 12 skill points and 45 stat points unassigned...and that's not even counting the hordes of skill books I have. Heck my Charm is only level 4 (after +2 from an amulet)
Blind is v. useful. The cooldown is nasty but you can essentially take out a single combatant for a whole minute. You can also kill single combatants in orobas fyord really early (before maxos) with blind and level up like hell from the exp.
With charm, summon demon, blind and the necro-pet you can have something like 4 guys on your side tanking with 1 baddie out of action for a whole minute.
