When you get your own 'tower' (about midway through the main quest) you will be able to get all your skillpoints back so you can redistribute them (at a price).
Ehm?
But... But...
It's impossible to get to Bellegar's cave without being a dragon, I think.
So, you say if I went to Hermosa (I prefered the guy though

) and redistributed all abilities, I will get back those lost forever 5 vitality points (I could care less about that ST)? Game said I lost them forever, so why should they be back after redistributing?
CHECKED - it seems you didn't read my thread well. Your answer is completely unrelated to my question. It's not a problem with skills, I want my 6 stat points back, and it seems stat points aren't redistributable... But it seems I won't be getting them. A shame, those additional 35 health points would be of use.
Heh...yeah, items in moral cave could be a little more Rewarding as payment for our sacrifice.
Yeah, that cave is dissapointing. Even in Divine Divinity Larian knew, that if you take away stat points from player (you lost them to certain vampire, in order to save the boy), you have to give something as good back (in DD case, it was a skill from Paladin in a forest, more experience, more reputation)
Being completely good in the cave takes away 6 stat points, in exchange giving you... Sucky twohanded sword which is outdamaged by typical onehanders, mace which isn't even worth talking about, or useless bow. At least merchants are stupid and took the bow for 1500~ gold.
Losing stat points should be rewarded in something different than items, like a skill, quest, something, because items will - sooner or later - be outdated, and then you will see you lost vitality for nothing. When the items can't even keep up to the current situation, the sacrifice is even more pointless.
