Im currently doing this quest given by jonelath where i have to slay an 'ultimate creature boss'.After much searching i got to know its found in the new miner's dig in orobas fjords.But all i find there are 'elite creatures' which seem like normal enemies...there's nothing called the 'ultimate creature boss' which should be there...i cleared the cave but i can't find the creature i'm looking for...is this a glitch or do u have to do something else to bring it out??

it is in that cave and you must loot his body to get the limb, it's not labeled as ultimate boss though

Hmmm...i killed all the creatures in the cave..some of them dropped loot but all they were was gold and potions...nothing extraordinary which would update my quest log...i'm beginning to think it is a major glitch...

Did you talk to Jonelath again after that?

There was a bug where certain opponents could be missing, which was fixed in the patch (though if the problem had already occurred in the save the patch might not correct it). If that is the case here, and you have installed the patch, email support@larian.com with a description of the problem, and maybe a link to this topic, and with your save they should be able to restore the ultimate creature.

With the PC version, in XP the saves are in the folder

C:\Documents and Settings\ %username% \Local Settings\Application Data\Divinity 2\Savegames


or in Vista / Win 7

C:\Users\ %username% \AppData\Local\Divinity 2\Savegames


You may need to set Windows Explorer to show hidden files and folders (XP, Vista, Win 7).

Yes i did talk to jonelath but he still has a question mark over his head meaning the quest is still unfinished.
Actually its happening exactly as u said.Not only the ultimate creature but also moor and alrik which i should slay for the 'a hunting we shall go again' quest also disappeared..i only saw them in a brief cut-scene,but they did not appear afterwards in-game.Unfortunately i applied the patch just yesterday after the saves and as u said,it has not been rectified and these 2 quests(a hunting we shall go again,out on a limb) remain in my quest log.But i shall email larian support and ask them for help.Thanks for the advice.
