Talking about project E, the top-down thing has disadvantages when it comes to immersion, but it makes up in terms of some of the content things we can pull off with it. I think there is more immersion in an isometric game than others. When you're playing an isometric game you don't need to struggle with camera controls or such. Because of this you can concentrate only in action and gameplay. And so it's more immersive than other types.

Diablo games' success lies in this. And because of this they chose isometric view in Diablo 3 and Blizzard made the right choice. But, eventually market will determine whether this approach is right or wrong. TPS camera have come from the consoles and unfortunately console games and players dominates the market. So, I don't give much hope for this Project E. I and the others that thinks like me are a minority in this crowd.
