If you have overheating issues, you may try to enable Use VSync in Options > Graphics > Advanced Options.
With VSync activated, you may also try to force Direct3D triple-buffering using an utility like
RadeonPro. Note that the triple-buffering option available in CCC only concerns OpenGL.
