So, is there any way to
activate the two pressure plates to get into the hidden area without him?
Or can only one set of quests be solved? I hate to have to give up that nice sword reward if there is not.

Never mind ... decided to save & do it both ways, & figured it out.
Is there any way to open the other cell doors in there? I've been able to open one more, but the rest are locked & can't be lock-picked.
