Possible. Because before Divinity 1, Larian was working on LMK, and that was meant to be an TDE game (being produced in collaboration with Attic, who had a license for making it, then).

The word combination (I think it' actually 2 words) of "sanya sala" also appears in I think both Drakensang games (although I'm ot 100% sure anymore).

And then, when they developed LMK, they had TDE p&p material at hand, they had to, since it was *based* on the P&P rules set ...
