I noticed that the DLC armor sets for this game were removed from the Xbox Live Marketplace. So if you could answer me a few questions to include in my guide, if possible. Don't worry if you can't answer them all for whatever reason, but any answers are much appreciated:

1: Can people who have purchased them before still download them from their download history list?

2: Will any remaining pre-order DLC codes (such as Gamestop's Blood Echelon armor set) still work as intended? Or are they dead at this point?

3: Is there any way planned (or implemented) for players of Ego Draconis to access these armor sets on the 360? Or, with the removal of the DLC, are these sets essentially lost to future players?

4: Are PC players still able to purchase or otherwise obtain these sets, or has the release of DKS lead to their removal as well?

Hello Lancet,

As for your first three questions, I need to contact CDV US, if I still can, but let me have a look for you. As a developer we don’t manage the presence of the DLC on Xboxlive, it’s CDV US that took care of that.

4: Are PC players still able to purchase or otherwise obtain these sets, or has the release of DKS lead to their removal as well?

Those sets are in The Dragon Knight Saga. Atlus will have also unique item sets that are distributed with the US version (only for US Xbox360).

All the best,
Lynn

Ah, I see. Although for the PC question, I meant would the PC version of Ego Draconis by itself be able to access these sets?

Or are the former DLC sets now considered unique to DKS for both systems?

Thanks for the answers, btw! Anything will help, and it's nice to be able to get answers direct from the source. Certainly a rare pleasure in this day and age of corporate gaming. smile

Hey, just wondering how it's going with looking into this. Or is it the sort of thing that may take a few weeks to get an answer on?

Xbox Live removes pre-order DLC after a period of time (about a year) to avoid people from buying used copies of a pre-order game and thinking they deserve the DLC like the user who did pre-order the game and paid full price when the game was released.

It's a shame that some gamers think they should get the DLC like those that orderd the game before release and had to pay the full retail release price.

If you want extra DLC for free via a pre-order purchase YOU MUST PRE-ORDER BEFORE RELEASE...not buy the game a year later for 1/3 the price or used, and then cry your not getting what you didn't pay for!

Nuff said. ;-)

Why would people who buy the game used think they're entitled to the pre-order DLC? And how would they even know there IS pre-order DLC, unless they heard about it when the game was released? They had seven armor packs available as paid DLC ($2 US apiece, I think), which is primarily what I'm asking.

I did also ask about remaining pre-order DLC codes, but those are good for a one-time use only. Once redeemed, they won't work again, so if any pre-order DLC codes still exist, they were obviously from a pre-order that never redeemed it, so if someone else acquired the code, they'd have as much right to it as anyone.

Are these DLC armor sets available for the PC version of the game as well ?

... And by the way, have the Amazon pre-order-only armor sets (of Amazon Germany) become available for the PC version of Divinity 2 as well ?

There were DLC armour sets available on the PC; presumably they were removed at the same time as the Xbox DLC. I would guess the German Amazon pre-order sets were not made available in D2:ED to anyone that didn't pre-order that version, but may have been included with DKS.

Hm, this still sounds somewhat vague ... I remember in Drakensang 1 the Amazon-only pre-order "Mask" being included much later in the regular release of the "Gold" version of it ... So this might happen or might have happened here as well, I hope ...
