No, there were too many changes made in DKS to maintain saved game compatibility with D2:ED (redesigned flying fortresses, changes to enemy placement and loot, etc). If you don't want to create a different character to go through the remastered D2:ED section of the game, you can start a new level 35 character at the beginning of the add-on content, though.
Alternately, since you are playing the PC version of the game, you could get the add-on by itself (download only), and finish playing with your current character. With FoV, load your last D2:ED save and there is a seamless transition into the add-on. Once you are done with that character, you can download the (large)
FoV to DKS patch before starting a new game. There are no differences in the add-on section between D2:ED+FoV and DKS.
