Stay on the path of blood and bodies to avoid being poisoned (except for one part where you have to jump across).

If you have your creature, you can summon it as well to help there. In general I found it better with a ranger head than warrior, and best with a mage head.

What level are you? If you have a save before entering, you can always reload and come back later. The temple can be done after reporting back on the bandit camp location (though finish off any open quests you got there before talking to Louis).

On the PC you can use the F1-F3 buttons to switch weapons.
On the Xbox you can equip a bow and melee weapons (hold a button/pad direction down for a couple seconds to assign an action/skill); whenever you use an attack or skill that requires a certain type of weapon, your character will automatically switch, if needed.
Playing a warrior I assigned X melee attack, A range attack, Y Rush Attack, B whirlwind, left Dragon Stone, right Dragon Morph stone (both after getting the battle tower), up Heal (level 1 comes in handy) and down summon creature (after getting it).

I did the Temple of Doom when my hero was around level 12.

I'm wondering already for a long time HOW a PURE Warrior can ever survive in the Temple of Doom (wthout a bow or ranged magic spell?!?) ???? eek

The first time I tried going through the temple I had my warrior using a bow to take out some of the skeletons. I was a relatively low level, though, and went through enough potions I decided to reload and come back later. When I did return, my creature made fairly short work of the skeletons; I did use the bow again a couple times, but if I wanted to stick to a pure melee warrior I could have.

I can not remember if it was the first or second time through there, but I did leave the trail a couple times to check out chests, requiring a healing potion to make it back to the trail. Unfortunately, the best thing I ever got out of the chests was a healing potion, so it wasn't worth the effort. If necessary, though, a pure warrior could Rush Attack a skeleton and drink a potion to get back to safety, assuming they didn't get too far into the poison or take too long to finish it off.

O yes, how could I forget the "Creature"(with a ranger/mage head) oops it's certainly possible to go through the first ara of the Temple of Doom (with the poison) !

I didn't try it already, but I wonder : can the Creature walk on/into the poisoneous ground in the temple of Doom without going damaged ??

I summon my Ghost, run to the chest, loot it and come back. My Ghost heal me more than fast and good smile
The Ghost is more than ones a real healing-potion-saver wink

I didn't notice the creature taking any damage in the temple; it certainly didn't die, anyway.

I'm not sure you can survive without a bow, really. Even my magic missile mage needed a bow. But if you do Rothman's quest first, you'll probably have his bow on you at all times afterwards.
