Hey all, just two quick questions..
First, what are the talismans of the south, north, east and west for? (found in derelict tunnels in broken vally) (oh and i've found east west and south, no north)
And second, what are the orange levers for all around broken valley? They send some orange ball of energy down through the ground when activated. So far I've found three....
Thanks, Tinman21

in the tunnels there you will see a statue of a demon, you go into your invin and use the talismans one at a time but in a certain order and you will get a prize, do it in the wrong order and you are ganked 3/4 of your health. least that's what happened to me. as for the levers you activate all of them and you will see a brief clip of a treasure box being popped some where in the valley.. unfortunately I have no idea where it is but that's what they do. hope this helps in some way Mistle

Sweet, yeah it does, I didn't know wether it was worth searching for the rest of the levers or not...

I believe the book telling about the Amulets is titled: "Dusty Tomb". And for those people who read all books ... there is another book (I don't remember the name of that book, but you find it in a dungeon, I think in "Lost Cave") writing about "Slantwig" and if you patiently enough to search and think about it you can find also the Amulet of Slantwig" by using another Amulet on a certain place in the Lost Cave Funny thing now is: playing before Ego Draconis and now playing the DKS I don't find the fourth orange "lever" .... but I know it let appear a treasure chest somewhere ... between Sosostra and the New Miner's Dig

I only found that 'weird chicken dude' on my second playthrough, and noticed something odd, it's the same music that's played in the 'chicken rune' room, but on my first playthrough i hadn't met him, and now it's too late because the entire valley is covered in demon snot... is the rune anything to do with the guy that's been soul forged with a chicken, and is it worth going back for him?

The chicken rune can be used for the first quest in High Hall, which gives the best reward (or at least did in D2:ED). There is no way to help Casper; you can either kill the chicken or not (there is no way to herd the chicken to him, or otherwise get him help).

It's just regular crappy rewards like every other quest in DKS. And yeah, it's a shame. There I spend 10 minutes trying to herd the white chicken (I thought it just got stuck and tried to get it "unstuck"...)

Using the rune in D2:ED gave more experience, more gold and an extra choice of better quality equipment. Specifically, from the walkthrough: fight reward: 4500xp, 480g + 1 (1125xp + 3 magical items + 1 other) rune reward: 6750xp, 720g + 2 (3 legendary items, 1 other) I tried herding the chicken, as well. Then I got annoyed, and (since I had a recent save) killed it, which was kind of amusing. Not that Casper dies, but that
you get an achievement for it (or at least did in D2:ED)
Still in DKS . But yeah, the rewards must be the original. XP/Gold may be right (can't expect to remember those from all quests :)) though.
