Hello I got inside Gobie's house in High Hall and there's a chest that requires a key. Anybody been able to open this chest? The only threads I've found pertaining to Gobie don't say anything about the third chest - only that there's two chests with little loot.

There is a key on the ground (behind or under some crates or barrels, IIRC) near the north wall, which opens the chest near the southern door. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the welcome. However, if there were some crates and barrels near the north wall, I have already destroyed them and there is no key on the floor. I searched all around the bed in the NW corner and the only thing I see are some papers scattered over the floor. The only thing left near the north wall is a burlap bag which I cannot destroy. The keys give off an aura which is usually pretty obvious, especially inside a structure such as this one. I am 100% positive (at least in my game) there is no key inside Gobie's house for the chest on the south wall. Maybe I shouldn't have said "BOO!" to Gobie.

The key should be in the corner of the main room opposite the bed, near the door that you can not unlock, on the floor a little to the right of a closed burlap bag. FWIW, I just checked the key location in D2:ED (before breaking the crate and barrels in the corner you should be able to see the key on the floor), and all I got opening the chest by the front door was a single Black Rock.

The key is definitely not there. I won't worry about it. Thank you, though.

i remember picking up a key at that location but it did not open the locked chest in the room
i know there are three chests in the room but cant recall if either of the others needed a key if so its possible that there is only 1 key for two chests and you need to choose between them
