@Paro - you can't do anything about your stats, but you should be able to make it through with a non-specialised character.
But you might be able to improve your equpiment. 200+ does not seem like much damage at level 42 - my (admitedly damage focused) mage could easily do 5,000+ with a single spell by level 40+. With a melee focused character such as yours, I'd expect you to be doing 1-3k per attack (depending on the size and speed of your weapon).
You've probably done a lot of these already, but if not, try them:
- Swith difficulty to 'Easy'.
- Use 4 malachite gems to cast +100 health on each of your four armour pieces (+400 health total).
- Swith to dual wielding (retrain skills so you're maxed out in dual wield) - it does more damage than sword and shield or 2-handed
- Enhcant both your dual wield weapons with +100 physical and +100 magic damage. This will take 4 malachite gems, but will give you +800 damage per attack due to each enchant affecting both weapons.
- rearrange your buffs and charms as much as possible to maximise strength (for the melee damage bonus it gives).
- Stock up on potions, particularly healing, strength and any protection-style potions.
@AlrikFassbauer - So is DKS a 'story driven' RPG? If not, then what is, a game without combat at all? That's called a 'point and click' adventure. In fact, I'd say that being able to specialise (and getting advantages as a result) makes the story more interesting - you feel your character is a more unique reflection of your personality and play style, instead of just another generic hero.
