Does dual-wielding still apply both weapons' enchantments to each weapon's stats? I know this was the case in ED, but I'm not sure I'm seeing it in DKS.

Well, it does apply both to spells. Got considerable increases in Magic Missile damage when enchanting both weaponry with +magical damage spells.

Yep - dual wielding with +magic damage is the only way to go for a caster. And Magic Missile is particularly effective because each missile gets the bonus, so you get up to 7* your +magic damage bonus per cast (level 15 MM = 7 missiles per cast).

But dual wielding is also very effective for a melee character, as the enchants 'cross charge' (affect both weapons), so you're getting double the value from each +damage enchant. Use 4 malachite gems (+100 magic and +100 physical on each weapon) and you've boosted your per-attack damage by 800 points. I'm not sure if off-hand penalties or bonuses (from dual wield skill) affect the +damage bonuses though, but I suspect they do from what I've seen, in which case you can get more than double the value from each enchant.

Other items with +damage enchants (e.g. amulets) will also 'double up' when dual-wielding, but you can only find them with built-in buffs, as you can only cast your own +damage enchants on weapons.

@Cinco - I've been praising the benefits of dual-wield in DKS for ages on these forums, so it definitely 'doubles up' in DKS.

I'm sorry if my post was misleading. DW in DKS is very powerful, for a Mage or War, indeed. I fully understand that the damage bonuses, from enchants, are applied to both weapons independently. Don't get me wrong. I'm a big fan of DW, and don't have a real problem (per se) with the final outcome of it's performance. It's just every time this subject comes up, I want to question the mechanics of the damage in relation to the display. It does not work the same as it did in ED, from my stand point.

The average damage displayed would change, pending the placement of the weapon. I'm questioning if that is implemented properly in DKS. It's rather confusing. However, the bonus damage from enchants does seem to be affected by the lvl of the DW skill for a Melee Cha, from what I can tell, and yet implements the FULL effect of both for a Mage. (as you have correctly stated) Again, I don't know if the effect for a Mage was intent or an oversight.

I know the damage display acts weird and stuff, I was only concerned about the actual results (did damage calcs apply all enchants to both weapons).
