I collected most of the formulas in D2:ED, but that just made the list longer than it needed to be when you have to enchant something or (to a lesser extent) create potions.

I've been checking for enchantment formula for the main ones I use (Increased Damage / Magical Damage, Life Line, Static Charge), Healing Aura 10, and higher levels of formula for ones that might come in handy (I just added a couple level 9 Poison Auras, to see if that helps if I have to do much close quarters fighting). For the enchantments that don't appeal to me (like Damage Aura and Magic Damage Aura) I'd still like to get level 9 and 10 formula, so I have the option to try them. I just got level 9 Mana Leech (passed on lower level formula), but that is a possible option for a third enchantment slot, and I have not used a bow with a second one yet (the smith in the harbour building has one I can use in a few levels).

I mentioned selling low level potions for before the battle tower. I actually sold iron, whisperwood and fatfern to make room in my inventory, when I had more than one stack of them. I could have gotten more gold from the plants had I converted them to potions and then sold them.
