There are three Lever Handles throughout the game. One is required to complete the Primordial Cave, part of the main story quest. But I noticed that these handles, while they cannot be sold, CAN be destroyed.

Is it possible to render the game unwinnable by destroying all three Lever Handles? (or just destroying the one in the Primordial Cave, if they aren't interchangable.)

Also, for that matter, ARE the three handles interchangable?

aren't there two Lever Handles that are vital to the story?
1> one needed to activate the elevator that leads Ba'al
2> the lever that turns off the barrier when heading towards the Patriarch

The lever in the mine is just to activate a secret door that has random treasure inside. The elevator to Ba'al always works.

If you destroy the lever handle in the primordial cave it doesn't get restored if you exit the cave, save, restart the game and re-enter. I opened the chest again (still empty) and tried selecting the base anyway, to see if the game was checking whether I had the lever in my inventory or just whether I had picked it up.
