Okay, I know I am late to the party, but I gotta reply to the idiot that started this thread. First, he hated the game so much he played through to the end or both ED and FoV (I assume). Then, he signs up for this forum and goes through that process, just to leave a stupid remark? Makes me wonder why he keeps posting here if he hated the game go much.

He was pissed at the ending. I can guess by his comments he did really enjoy the game and when it came to tne ending felt very let down and posted that. I think it's ok to post negative comments and dislikes but it was very rude and could have been worded, well, shall we say much more constructivley?
One other game that had a really crap ending was Drakan, that started a whole flame war (no pun intended!) on several forums as gamers vented their anger. The devlopers explained that the crap ending was due to being rushed to meet the deadline and had already planned / got funds for a sequel. I think Larian originally planned for the Flames of Vengeance add on to be part of the original game but didn't have time to fit it in.

Unfortunately, the sequel was console-only, and I don't own any kind of console to this day ...

The sequel was originally going to be PC only and Surreal got a large part of it done. There's some old screenshots of the PC version on the web somewhere. Sony bought Psygnosis the publisher during devlopment and it was then made for the PS2 only.

Ygerna was Soul Forged to Damian. Since they only lied about the Resurrection part, that means you just killed Ygerna and Damian in one blow unless the sequel mysteriously shows him dodging the Soul Forge at the last second.

The Soul Forged was reversed. Damien became more powerful with her alive. With her dead, his power is half. Besides, even if you do kill Damien, the Demon in him will need to be defeated too and maybe he has died and The Demon has been freed. Ygerna claims he's making the final steps to release his full power at the end of the game, so maybe he turned into a demon and Ygerna and him being soul forged mattered for nothing anyway.

I also agree that it should be the Divine that kills the dambed one, I love the dragon knight don't get me wrong but it was the divine that brought all this s*** down on Rivellon it's only right he corrects his mistakes. With so many different charactors in the Divinity series, Divine Divinity, beyond Divinity & ego draconis everyone is bound to have a favorit charactor. Like I said I love my dragon knight, the ability to turn into a dragon at will is awsome but i have to agree that the Divine F***ed up so the Divine needs to set things right. Even if the dammed one was behind the destruction of the dragons & the knights, even if his forces did found the dragon slayers the only reason they had the chance to was because the Divine F***ed up. I think that the best way to keep the fans of both the Divine & the Dragon Knight happy is to have a dual campain. One where you have the chance to fight as both. Like have the computer control the charactor you chose not to play as & when it comes time to fight the dammed one have them both take part but the end sceen were the b***ard dies you see the Divine get the killing blow regardless of weather you chose to be him or not.
