Shut up OP. No one was denied battle against Damien. Why should your character fight him? If you had played Divine Divinity, you would know that it really should be The Divine's destiny to fight Damien and not The Dragon Knight's destiny. Stabbey explained everything above in more detail. Damien is the big bad and Divine is the big good. The Dragon Knight was played by Ygerna NOT Damien. It was only fitting that she was the end boss.
So the expansion doesn't allow you to transform into a dragon till the end? That makes the game bad? It is an RPG where you have to speak to people. The expansion just focused on quests more which required you to use your brain, there's nothing wrong with that.
Obviously you haven't played the game far enough OP. You CAN return to Broken Valley as a dragon. Try it.
If you're talking about returning when it hasn't been destroyed, why would it matter? Just because EARLY trailers showed some footage of flying in Broken Valley, doesn't mean it would remain that way, every is subject to change and there was originally meant to be day and night cycles and early images even showed this but things change.
Obviously you also skipped to the expansion and thought the ending quest where you turn into a dragon was the only point in the game when that happened. You fail OP and so does this thread and so all I have left to say is this:
Your last post was last year complaining about the ending of Ego. If the game was shit then, why did you buy DKS? Seriously:
Divinity is an ungoing series. It's not like Dragon Age which features different stories with no connection to one another. That doesn't make it rubbish or a "rip off" look at TES for rip off games.
