Raze, I read about your Archer build in the "Who's playing DKS on Nightmare difficulty?" thread and it made me want to try it actually. c: Though, this time if I go with Ranger I'm sticking with just Range because swapping between Magic, though powerful, just felt like I wasn't using either to it's fullest potential. \: Though, before I try anything on Nightmare, I want to beat the game with each basic class and perfect it. ^^;
Joram, you have superb taste in RPG's my friend. And I agree, the differences from Ego to DKS are amazing?! For example, I don't know if it was just me, or if I didn't notice, but I played Ego and nothing graphically amazing popped out at me. But as soon as I popped in DKS, I walked like 2 feet and saw the blade on my back shimmer in the sun. And I just though "That was so not in Ego..." Or if it was, I didn't notice. xD I like this game because it's different but still has that same good...thing to it that all the staple mondern RPG's have. TES, Fallout, Dragon Age, ME, Fable. They are all different but they have that something that sets them apart and makes them worth playing. This is #3 on my list only falling short of Oblivion in 1 and Dragon Age: Origins in 2. Fallout 3 would be 4th, lol.
Also, the soundtrack in this game is AMAZING. In most games, I'll be honest, I mute the TV and listen to my Ipod because I feel like the soundtracks in games are just so...not fitting with the mood the game is portraying. This game however, executes it perfectly and I love it.
As for the humor, I think it's better than Fable's and that is what they were supposed to be known for. So~ Great game and I am enjoying every second of it.
