I'm working on a duel wield pure melee build right now and it's coming along very well. I'm at lvl 17 with 60 Str and low 30's Vit with equips. Though I read, don't remember where, that you can get gear that will boost your stats from 60 - 70's to 100. So, what is the best stopping place for a certain stat? If I read correctly, I would assume the 60 - 70s, but I don't really know... >>; In my case it's Str > Vit and anything left over will go into Dex for the crit bonus. ^^;

Thank you. (:

There's no gear that boosts your stats from 60 - 100. I think it may be possible to build a set but you'll need equipment which has several charm slots. These charms will need to be divine charms which increase your stats by 5+. So if you want to increase your strength from 60 - 100 with equipment, you're going to need 7 divine strength charms and probably two equipment pieces because the most charms some equipment can hold is 5.

Also, these divine charms mostly pop up later on in the game.

Anyway, if I were you, I'd stop at 70. Since your amulet and rings can be charmed (along with your secondary weapon which you wield), you're bound to get some stats up to 100 just through charms.

Didn't someone say the 3 sets in FoV give something like 20 points to the relevant stat?

Yup.
Wearing all items though (and why wouldn't you, they are pretty powerful)...

Ok, so stopping at 70 and then getting the relevant FoV set, thank you! (:

If you're running a duel weilding Melee character, hten the Order of hte Viper armor set is right up your alley. +5 to Fatality, +5 to Thousand Strikes, amongst other goodies.
only part of that armor set it didn't like- the broom helmet. smirk
