Whats up guys
Im having an issue with DKS,i downloaded it from steam last weekend but im having problems making it run smoothly,even though my specs are more than adequate.Ive tried changing graphical settings but the game remains laggy.Another problem im having is that i cant move normally,i get stuck in invisible cracks and instead of moving forward start moving sideways and so i have to jump over the 'crack'.I have a relatively new PC about a year old,the game should work but does not work adequately,the gameplay is actually so bad that i cant get further in the game as jumping from platform to platform in Lovis' tower is impossible.Please larian or you guys who somehow seem to know everything,help me out as i really want to play the game but at this rate it's impossible.

Another person reported a similar movement problem in the topic Graphic game problem help please.

What is your problem trying to jump? See the D2:ED topic jumping for some suggestions (with DKS's camera distance being closer, changing the camera angle probably isn't going to make as much of a difference).
From the left side of the front gate to Lovis' tower you should be able to jump over into the tower. Another person who had a problem jumping to a couple levers (used to open the gates) just kept exploring Broken Valley until they found 4 parchments required to get the password for a couple teleporters, one of which leads to a level at the top of Lovis' tower, allowing them to jump down to get to the throne room.

Thanks raze!I noticed that in the thread you linked the person might have had trouble dude to his computer being a hp,in which case ive got the same problem.I did also find that lowering the graphics decreased the problem of running into those invisible 'cracks' but it really decreases the game experience in my opinion.

I installed the latest version of directx9 and also disabled desktop composition and that seems to have done the trick,thanks for the help,your a gamesaver :P
