I rarely encounter new stuff in this game, especially before the Battle Tower. But just now, I was clearing it out as I prepare to advance my main character into FoV (I like to keep my tower "untouched" - no opened chests, items picked up, etc. besides what is necessary to progress the story).

I noticed, on the 3rd floor torture room, there's a book I missed on a table on each side of the room: Research Notes, and Amusing Anomalies. And they act like "quest item" books (orange name, and read in a dialogue window instead of the normal "book" background), but aren't.

In addition, if you light the candles on each side of the room (they're on the same tables as the books), it opens a secret room in the center. Nothing amazing, but interesting nonetheless. Only has a chest with ~50 gold and some ingredients in it.

I knew that.

I recently killed the Killer Bunny for the first time, and noticed him encased in crystal at the end of the game.

You ever wonder why there were two explosives kegs? after you blow up the cave in, before you meet up with wazzername, to the right there's another cave in you can blow up. it leads to a gold vein, a dragon slayer corpse and a key that opens the chest in the "two-candles" room.

found that out just exploring. i thought i could use the other one to blow open the battle tower doors. why else would there be a Waypoint Shrine up there?

I found out #1 and #3 in my first game.

Despite that, there were MANY things in Lancet's walkthrough I didn't know.

I guess the 'still learning' was with the book on top of the Fjords statue though. Nice hiding place. Wish the item was more useful for the effort though laugh.

I honestly did not know about the skill book on top of some rocks in the Farglow goblin camp area until i heard someone asking about it here... that skill book was great help, and not spend and hour hunting goblins to get up to lvl 2.

Did you know that a single goblin can sometimes drop TWO hearts?

It's true, that's not a photoshop. It's only happened the one time for me, though.

It's on the rock to the right when you enter the goblin camp for combat training, you just gotta climb up it.

I believe you. I've seen my share of incredibly ultra-rare seemingly impossible events. I saw jewelry in ED that gave three +1s to the same skill. I've seen 6 gems from an ore vein (unfortunately not all the same, or Malachite...)

Nope, it's not. I really did not know about that one.

That said, it's on the rocks that seperates the one Goblin Mage from the three by the campfire. if you adjust the camera angle you should be able to see it.
