Are you having the same problem as Wingblood had?

I don't know if it would help with this issue, but the K-Lite Codec Pack comes with a 'codec tweak tool' which can repair codecs and disable filters, which a couple people have mentioned using to fix problems (like here). This tool is also available separately (I've never tried it).

A search of the forum or Google may turn up other suggestions, depending on what the problem is...
