Hi,I'm new.
My question is:
If you look at your tabs within Divinity II
I go to the skills tab
On the lower left it says I have 4 points left
I have been unable to apply these points to increase my skill levels
Will you please explain how this is done?
I thank you so much!

In the PC version I believe there are small arrows under each skill icon when it is selected to distribute points. Welcome to the forum.

You can use skills as soon as you can add points to them (there is probably an 'apply' button you need to hit after you distribute the points with the arrow buttons). Merchants can sell equipment with skill bonuses, but that is it for their involvement in the skill system. In the Xbox version you can assign skills to the face buttons or d-pad directions, or pause the game and hit a shoulder button to bring up a menu where you can use items, potions or skills that do not need a target (like Healing or Summon Ghost). To assign skill to hotkeys in the PC version, from a couple different topics: How are you assigning skills to quickslots? There are a couple of ways: 1) Keep the numerical key on your keyboard pressed for +- 2 seconds. 2) In pause mode, right click on the slot you want to quickmap. 3) In the skill screen, drag the skill icon to the quickslot.
Which of these options are you using and can you try the others? It'd help which skill you were trying to hotkey because, not all skills are hotkeyable. For the ones that are, you Left-Drag the skill into one of the slots and click when the slot lights up. From my experience, those slots don't become active (light up) unless you aim towards the very bottom of the slots. I think they did that so that you couldn't accidentally move something out of the bar. They must never have heard of "Locking" the action bar. Lovis' tower is number 2 on that screenshot (north of the central lake). You will need to complete enough of the starting section to get access to the full Broken Valley, after which the tower should be easy to find. Even then, though, the opponents around there may be a little tough, and there are some off to the southeast and west (then up a mountain trail) you may want to do first. About level 9, or so, you shouldn't have much trouble, though there is no rush to make it there (despite a certain NPC's suggestions later).

Indeed, you have to click on the apply button on PC, else your points won't be applied.
Some skills have a level requirement.

In Jackson's cellar the button is in the southeast corner, on the wall or post, not the floor.
In the Forgotten Outpost just west of the farm, the pressure plate is on the wall at the end of the path (if you could get through the broken door and turn right, you'd be facing the movable wall).

As far as I know there is no place officially called Jackson's Dungeon; the two locations I mentioned are where I thought you could be.
The on-screen mini-map should show which way north is, and if you bring up the full map it will show where your character is and what direction they are facing.
I have the Xbox version of the game, so can not check your save. I can start a new game and get to Jackson's cellar fairly easily, but the other area may not be easy to clear without leveling first.

I'm not trying to be argumentative but yes,it is Jackson's Dungeon This article says to "press the pressure plate near the bottom" http://divinity.wikia.com/wiki/Jackson_DungeonIt is very difficult to use my mouse (with this game) and scan nothing but the floor The character does not want to move at those angles. But the thing is I have scanned the floor (bottom) thoroughly and I can't find any pressure point I really need help bad (P.C. version)

Check out the horizontal line of apparently decorative bricks about mid height on the wall I described above. The pressure plate should be near the centre of them.
I don't recall the game itself referring to the Forgotten Outpost as Jackson's Dungeon even if whoever wrote that part if the wiki did.

Are you speaking about the bricks directly right of the door? I've scanned these over and over and I cannot find a pressure point

Follow the corridor until you get to a dead end, and are facing a wall bordering the sealed room (in the north west corner of the dungeon walk south). That is the wall that can be removed, and which has the pressure plate on it.
I just check in-game, and the description for the hatch when you are outside the Forgotten Outpost is called Jackson's Dungeon. I noticed that when I went though that part of the game, but forgot about it (and the D2:ED walkthrough / DKS FAQ don't use that name).

To the left of the room is a huge whisky barrel Can you look at my picture please and decribe what I need to do from there? http://www.mediafire.com/?4d2x9ddm9dda089

There is a compass. North is indicated on the minimap, in the top left part of the screen. If you open the main map, you can see your character's location and which direction they are facing.
Yes, by sealed room I meant the room you are trying to get into, with the busted jail cell type door.
From the entrance, ignore the broken door and just go the only way there is to go. Keep going past the barrel, turn left, turn left again, go to the end, turn left, turn left to head to the north west corner, turn left and head south, so there is a wall on your right, a section of shelves on your left and the false wall straight ahead.

I cannot imagine HOW I would have found that without your help. Thank you so much!! You're right about the compass Since I had actually not utilised it so far I wasn't even aware it was there. I just keep looking at the map for the destination I want and make sure the character is heading towards the identification marker on the map

Hi
I need your help again.
My character just entered the Citadel Chambers.
You hear a female voice saying Lovis is nearby.
All right; You see a lot of tunnels you can travel through.
All the doors out are locked.
You see a green orb on the other side of a white lattice wzll.
You cannot get to the orb.
I've tried jumping.
It does not work.
So I am stuck here and I find no way to continue on with the storyline.
All I can do is wander around this circular building.
I cannot leave.
What can I do?
Please help me

From the doorway as you enter the chamber, turn left and jump over the section with the caved-in underpass, then turn around. Someone didn't quite make it through... There is a body there of someone who has a spell scroll on or near them, which you need to pick up and then read from your inventory.
