I totally walked right past these on my first playthrough and was wondering what I am supposed to do with them? Can I sell them, or are they part of a quest?

You are welcome to take the weapons and use or sell them, though before reporting on the camp's location the 3 arguing over the loot will take exception to that (nobody else will care).
