Have you discovered the sleeping adventurers in Broken Valley yet? They aren't part of any quest but if you fetch them an apple, beer and healing potion (from what I recall) you can awaken them and receive a generous reward as a result. They later reveal (back in the village) that the last thing they saw before they fell asleep was a "rhyming wizard" which is obviously Bellegar...
in a Bandit Quest, when you have to decide to side with the mechant or with the Bandits, the Merchants will be in the Black Boar Inn.
my favorite "discovery" in replaying ED/FoV was seeing the Killer Bunny in a crystal at the end of ED.

-the Skill Book in the Farglow goblin camp.
