With Beyond Divinity and Divinity 2 there were periods (about a couple weeks) where people within traveling distance could arrange a time to go into Larian Studios to playtest the games during development, but no public betas.
There should be a demo released shortly before the game comes out (there was for DD, BD, D2:ED and DKS, anyway).
