So, im not gonna write an elegant guide, just post some numbers and see if people respond.
This post is made to complement my musings over the idea of a "pure mage" build.
Here is what i found as equations that governs hp/mana (they are symmetric):
HP=(60+4Xlevel+7XVitality)
Regen=HP*(0,03+0,0006)
So if we want to know, how many strength points we want if we desire maximum stat regeneration (no leeching, ghost, healing etc.) we compare raising strength one point with raising vitality one point:
HP*0,0006=7*(0,03+0,00006str)
<=>
HP=7*(3+0,006str)/0,06=7*(50+str)=350+7*Strength
That means that to have maximum regeneration (purely from stats), you should put a point in strength no sooner than (4 stat points pr. level):
HP=60+4Xlevel+7X4XLevel=350
<=>
4Xlevel+7X4Xlevel=290
Level=290/32=9,06
Level 9.
Considering that they urge you to take strength to boost regeneration, that came as a surprise to me.
So lets say you are level 30, with 50 vitality, how much strength should you have (for regeneration!).
equation:
HP=350+7*Strength
inserting:
60+120+350=350+7*Strength
Strength=180/7=25
Conclusion.
In the early game, you should take vitality, until you have 37 vitality. From then on, use the equation I outlined above (HP=350+7*Strength)
Offcourse, the same holds true for intelligence/spirit.
Just spotted I used , instead of . for numbers. Sorry, thats how it is in Denmark
