& 3 post's in a row saying please somebody help me is'nt spamming the same message, if everyone on the forum were to look all through this thred they'd all say the same. Your spamming the same message when nobody awnsers you within 5 mins, Raze has been helping you out since you started this thread but you still spam please somebody help me 3 posts in a row. If you look throughout this whole forum you'll see that Raze is constantley shifting between all the different sections of ED & DKS, he help's so many people on a daily basis. Not everyone on these forums is on everyday, people will awnser your questions when they know about them & if they have the awnser.

I know your annoyed & upset about not being able to finish DKS but posting the same message over & over is'nt the way to go about sorting it out. Just post what's trobling you & people will reply eventually, just wait till they do, don't go posting your please somebody help me over & over. Raze is a gem & has a heart of gold, he always responds asap, I'm not trying to be nasty but I speak my mind. Right now my mind says that if you keep trying to force people into helping you then no one will want to. Just calm down be patiant & wait, have faith in the people here & they'll have faith in you, this forum is full of wonderfull kind helpfull people.

There are a lot worse forums than this, in some forums you'd be lucky to even get a reply because there full of selfcentered people. This one however is not, The Larian Team are wonderfull people they keep us up to date with everything that they can. Not many companys care so much about there fans that they'ed take such an active role in there own forums let alone keep us updated. They not only do that but they also join in on the conversations & have a laugh with us there a great bunch. The Members here are just as wonderfull Joram & Raze are not only very active on the forums but are very helpfull & caring. You could'nt have asked to join a better forum than this so please just settle down, relax & wait till someone awnsers your question.

Hopefully someone who has used the trainer can comment on how to do so.

I downloaded and virus checked the 'Divinity 2: Flames of Vengeance v1.4.9.65-v1.4.9.70 +7 TRAINER'; hopefully it should work with DKS. There are a couple listings for cheat tables that use CheatEngine, but someone mentioned that program isn't very user friendly; the tables may make it easy to use, since you presumably wouldn't need to find the memory addresses you need to modify (or prevent from being modified). Listings for DKS that didn't require Cheat Engine were for earlier versions of the game, though they may still be compatible.

A no-DVD hack isn't going to help. The disk version of DKS doesn't use a disk check when starting the game, just when installing it; I don't know if download versions have a periodic online check.



Easy and casual are relative terms, depending on the person's skill level, character build, equipment, etc, etc.

The point of an easy setting on a game is to make it easier than the normal mode, but still be challenging enough to be fun, not to make sure nobody could possibly have problems. I've tried a couple RTS games, and did not do well, even on the lowest settings... that means I suck at RTS games, not that the easy difficulty modes were labeled fraudulently.

There are games designed to be punishingly difficult, where almost nobody would consider the easy mode actually easy.


FWIW, I played and enjoyed most of the game Psychonauts, but there was an extreme difficulty spike in the final level, which started off with an escort of an NPC using brain dead AI. I looked for cheats, but couldn't find any (did find lots of posts from people with similar problems). Finally I checked out a video of the end of the game on YouTube originally just looking for tips on what to do, but the rest of the level was all twitch based timed reactions that I had no desire to try to memorize, so I ended up not finishing the game (it was still an excellent game, otherwise). There were a few frustratingly difficult sections early in the game, but I was able to do them after going through a few times, or tweaking how I had my gamepad options setup.

Well I have installed the trainer

It is the correct version if I scroll down the list

But unfortunately the trainer does not work


When you click on it's start you get a message:

Error
"Game could not started! Start Trainer anyway? Then you have to start the game manual"

I started the game


It does not work after starting the game manually

You have a different opinion of this issue than I do.

As a consumer if I buy a paper towel I would expect it to do what a paper towel is supposed to do (clean spills)

If I buy an RPG game with labels indicating different modes of difficulty and I choose "easy" than that is what I expect the game to be.

There is nothing "challenging" about losing

It is the same as going to your local market and unknowingly buying a bad piece of meat

At least in those cases you can (in some circumstances) take it back to the store and get refunded

Not so in the gaming world

With these two games I bought I might as well have just took sixty dollars and thrown it out the window

You have a different opinion of this issue than I do.

It is not an opinion; 'easy' is a relative term, and there is usually at least an implied baseline or comparison to something else. Pick anything that you find easy, and give it to a 2 year old to do; they probably will not consider it easy.

Game developers need to balance the game to make it challenging enough to be fun but not so difficult that it becomes too frustrating. Different difficulty levels can help the player adjust the balance for their particular tastes, but can not please everyone. Personally I find nightmare difficulty too easy in DKS, but at least in that case it is possible to handicap your character to keep things challenging. There are lots of twitch based games I find too hard, but I am outside the target demographic, and I'd hardly expect the developers to make an easy mode that would be easy for someone who just doesn't like twitch based games.


In the gaming world there are demos for some games (including D2:ED and DKS), where you can check them out before buying, and see if the difficulty and design match what you look for in a game.
In the consumer world, there are all kinds of products advertised as being easy/easier to use, but depending on the retailer you may be hard pressed to get a refund claiming they are not easy to use.


Anyway, hopefully someone will help with the save and get you near the end of the escort, or someone who has use a trainer for DKS can assist (a new topic on that subject, minus the repeated replies, could help).

There is no balance in this game

If I can play all the way through until the final scenario and cannot play the finale because it is impossible that is not balanced.


In point of fact that is a perfect example of a fraud (swindle)


The very same as if I hired some men to fix my roof and they came and worked hard and decided to take off with the money two days before critical work was completed.

Easy is very, very much more than a relative term.

It is well defined in the dictionary:

Game Demos (No matter which one you choose) are not going to expose you, the player, to the ending finale)


They would not dream of doing that.


Why? Because they would instantly lose twenty percent of their potential buying clientele

How is it fraud just because YOU can't do it, if it was fraud you'd have everyone complaining about it BUT THERE NOT. Yeah it's fraud it's a swindle that's why you've spent the past few day's on this forum begging people to help you. Now that the people that have been trying to help you have both run out of advise for you & refuse to play the game for you you try to say it's fraud. You sound like a right child Mommy Daddy I can't do this game so it's fraud, whatever. Earlyer I was trying to be nice & understanding but now I'm just outright P***ED OFF with your attitude. DKS is an amazing game & for something you try to claim is "FRAUD" others have had no problem completing. Everyone dies at least once when there playing a new game that dose'nt mean it's "FRAUD". When I first played DKS when it was released I died at least 10 times on that part but I loved every min of it because it was a challange. Everyone has there strengths & waekness' but to claim someone is swindling you & accusing them of Fraud because what they've done is identify YOUR weakness then I say your the Fraud. I've had enough of hearing you whine, my god my sisters 1 year old cry's less than you when she's hungry.

Being defined in the dictionary doesn't mean there is an absolute quantitative measurement for the word 'easy', or that you are the arbiter of that judgment. In any case, no reasonable person could believe an easy setting must mean a game has to be easy for any possible person who could play the game, so consider me done trying to explain that.


When you are frustrated to the point of making statements that could be libelous if made in real life, and repeatedly posting requests for help where a single post will mark the topic as having unread posts, you are entirely justified. However, if someone else gets frustrated and complains, then they are being abusive and trying to be intimidating?


Do you believe there is someone out there who saw your post an hour ago, who could have helped, is willing to help, but forgot about it, and a new post will get a reaction? Or if you just keep posting, you'll convince someone to help, rather than simply ignore the topic?
