i'd talk to my necromancer and get the highest level stuff for my Creature- i've heard people say for a warrior type character, to have a Mage-based creature. it's up to you.
Throw a few points toward Summon Demon- yes, to Summon Demon... something that can distract a few guards- and even take a few out. whenever i took on the Fortress' i had my Creature and Demon out asap.
Don't be afraid to branch out your character's skill from just a pure-warrior build. honestly, i could never do that- because Explosive Arrows is just that damn good. [the Bow of Orobas, at the Champion's Harbor, is well work the 10k- better then the piece of crap you got for the Fjord's Bounty Hunt.]
if you'd rather not branch out, don't underestimate Jump. gets you outta the fray for a bit, can cause some serious damage, might even knock down the buffoon.
