Not that I know, but maybe one (or both,) of your melee weapons give a boost to strength? did you put maybe a Strength Charm on the weapon(s) ?
Choose to be a Warrior if you left Farglow give you 4 points in Strength, but I think you know that already ...
No strength charm, but I believe you actually have to use the weapons to get you the boost to your stats, right?
If I use the Bow my strength goes from 52 to 42, but once I hit an enemy with my swords, it goes back up to 52.
