That does sound very cool.
Although... lizard are reptiles. As such they don't have... erm... obvious secondary sexual characteristics so how could one tell it's a princess (without... you know... intimate inspection)?
But since lizard people are more obviously a fantasy race, this problem will probably be far more easily solved than the skeleton princess one. Even if it would be illogical.
