And you make a good point with the reproduction thing. On the other hand, Rivellon has magic, so I'm sure something could be worked out. If nothing else, adoption is an option (Ceasar Augustus, anyone?).
Also not unimportant, the Dragon Knights are damn near immortal so the production of an heir would be somewhat less high on the list of priorities.
