Try emailing support@larian.com, if you haven't done so already (see the DKS
support page).
Securom might not have anything to do with the crashes, but do you have the
Dragon Knight Saga DRM free patch? It should be available through Steam directly; the download will work for any other version.
A couple people ran into this problem in the original release of D2:ED (
Can't get into any door, game exits to windows), and at least one with DKS (
How can I disable motion blur? Also, crashes.).
