Playing through divinity 2, and must say- this is my favourite game. Can't thank larian and co enough for how much i've enjoyed and am enjoying my time in this game. But sadly, sooner or later I'm gunna finish game and going to need something else to play until dragon commander (drool) or project e is released. So, are there any games out there that can match the epicness that is dks? Don't really care what genre it is, although dragons is best.

Check out the RPG Chat and Chat forums. There are a couple 'best RPG' topics in the former... Do you have a preference on platform or graphics? Check out Draken, if you don't mind slightly dated graphics. The only other game I can think of where you play as a dragon is I of the Dragon, but as a straight action RPG it falls considerably short of epic, IMNSHO (though isn't bad for an action RPG, if you are in the mood for one and like dragons). This game is fantastic. Any more like this?Wikipedia Category Dragons in video gamesWelcome to the forum.

Right then, I'll give draken a shot having heard a bit about it. Pc is only platform ill game on, and it doesn't have to feature dragons (Although, i love dragons)and any age is good long as it isn't older then isometric games. Quick google tells me I will most likely enjoy I of the dragon, so I might pick that up. Thanks for the welcome!

Yeah Drakan is a good one. Skill tree is limited compared but flying the dragon is spot on and plenty of secrets.

Replay DKS, I'll suggest Just try another build and enjoy For me so far there are NO other games that are or the same epicness as DKS is Only Divine Divinity has it's own fantastic epicness gameplay ... !

I'm not a big fan of replaying, particularly when there's thousands of other games out there. Just have to separate the good from the bad, which can be challenging. And hopefully project e or dragon commander(I'll pay $1000 for dragon commander, no joke) will match the epicness of dks.

As Raze suggested, IMO Drakan is good. My experience is with the original Drakan, I don't know if the sequel implemented drastic gameplay changes.
It's not actually an RPG in which you level up and distribute stats. Skill in fighting comes with the way you control the character (movement combos result to different attacks, i.e. forward+attack or left+attack etc.). If there is anything identical to leveling up it's the increase in weapon and armor quality you will acquire as you progress through the game.
Well, if you do compare it to DKS they have the same POV and "identical" controls. Melee weapons have different ranges and swing/attack rate (IIRC) ... and of course not to forget, there's the weapon and armor degradation.
hmmm, after reading this thread, I might consider installing and giving Drakan another go.

I was kidding you a little bit & also try to persuade you to play again DKS ... but I must understand that I failed But on the other hand : a RPG is one of the genres of games that become so strong & good just because of it's REplayability ! I like that SOOOO much But it's all up to you, of course, so Good Luck with all the games you gonna play ... !

As Joram mentioned before, there is Divine Divinity which is the first game. It's the only game that compares really.

My two favorite games were Dragon Age Origins and Fable 2, but that was before I played DKS. Right now I'm working on Kingdoms of Amalur and Dark Souls. Early in on both but I'm pretty impressed so far.
The one I'm anticipating is Dragon's Dogma. I love Capcom games.

I believe Amalur is better than Two Worlds, but that's my feeling. I've a little bit played Two Worlds II and the demo of Amulur . I give Amalur more points .

Still trying to get the hang of Alamur but I can say it's a graphically beautiful game. Talking to others is boring though. Can't jump either. Combat is fun.
Bought it new but it didn't come with any handbook like manual. Lots of crafting and whatnot here I guess I have to learn through trial and error.
