Just something I've noticed. Got bored and decided on my third playthrough of DKS a week ago. Hard mode again. Mage only. No bow attacks.
What I did different was use no wisdom or mindreading skills/jewlery ever. I didn't do anything else different. I just finished the hall of echos and found myself at the same level as if I used these skills frequently on my first and second playthrough.
Interesting.
