Im really paranoid about downloading the game here.

I would be really appreciative if some some one whos downloaded the game from this site in the last few months could tell me what I can expect in terms of usability, activation, if internet is required to get the game working (not to download it I know I need it for that :P), just every thing you did to get your game running.

I want to install it on 2 computers, one doesn’t have internet. I just want to put the game on a flash drive for a hard copy to store away for when ever I want to install the game in the future.

Someone asked about this same situation with the retail version (here) and it was confirmed they would be able to install the game on a PC that did not have internet access.

I don't recall if anyone has specifically mentioned getting DKS from the Larian Vault (or re-downloading it) after the DRM free executable was released, but it would very, very strange for Larian not to update their own version of the game. If they didn't want to remove the DRM they would not have made the patch in the first place, and did all the paperwork required to get publisher approval for its release.

The current versions on larianvault.com are all up to date with 1.4.9.70 and drm-free exe.

Downloadable versions on other online stores will most likely still have a previous version that requires a patch (1.4.9.70) + the drm-free exe here.

Wow great news thanks for the reply. I am really really starting to like this company, never herd of it till a month ago. The game its self looks fantastic in every way. Im definitely buying this and will be watching for future works from here on. I have had bad experiences in the past with steam and other drm its really got me on edge these days when purchasing new pc games.
