Yes, orcs are one of the bad guys, they are the ones using dark magic (or how it was called).

Chaos magic, and they are bad guys just because they were usually misguided or manipulated by real bad guys. And since we are at days of glory of Dragon knights i'm also puzzled why they aren't in. Maybe they aren't organized (yet) to be considered a nation.
