I'm hoping we can customize the main characters faces and their hairstyles like in Beyond Divinity.
Also hoping for some more heavier type armor for the female character that isn't as revealing...

I'm hoping to find also ROBES to wear if I choose a more mage-like type to play And if possible many different kind of weapons/armor Breaking down a table and use a piece of wood to start a fight with Or laying traps via manipulating some barrels of water, place them behind a piece of wood on a higher part of the gameworld, use a hardy wind spell and the barrels start rolling straight to your enemies ... If ponds of possibilities are possible I'm pretty pleased No, seriously : all such strategically moves can make this rpg even more fantastic !
On 7th of february 2015 : I start a new adventure in the Divinity world of Original Sin, it's a Fantastic Freaking Fabulous Funny ... it's my All Time Favorite One !

I think Larian are going to go the Witcher/planescape torment route with this one. No character customisation at the start (visually), but it's all in the game itself by skills, armor and conversation choices you take.
The visual changes at the start these games lack, often make it up by the depth of the story. It's complicated to make deep stories when you can start with every character people can come up with.

I'd much rather have no facial customization if it means more roleplaying customization.

armor for the female character that isn't as revealing... Speaking of - have you seen the concept art and posters in tat E3 video? There is. umm, some interesting bits regarding the subj, haha. I, personally, has nothing against such kind of "revealing armor" for females. I do appreciate equally both: the realism and aesthetics. I think Larian are going to go the Witcher/planescape torment route with this one. No character customisation at the start (visually), but it's all in the game itself by skills, armor and conversation choices you take. Judging by their previous games I doubt D:OS will be as much deep and complicated in spoken aspect as Planescape, but yeah, I think they are aiming for something like that.

In the videos thus far, I haven't seen the option of having a "zoomed in" view. In light of that, as a single-player, I would not care if there was face customization. I usually care more about the look of the character induced by armor and skills.
As for the multi-player views, I am guessing people might join and want to know what armor I am wearing.

Don't really care much about the customization, the characters are preety much pre-defined anyway plus you won't see much from the isometric perspective.
Zoom option is a must though [so you can see armor & weapons better].

as already mentioned, the facial customization is a nice ft. but not THAT important to me, the wearing of robes (^^ drool) however, visually changing when using diff weapon types and armor is something I like a lot more..and a zoom does not need to be present in game perse (a player view zoom i mean) but in character screen it would be nice, so you could really see all angles of a fabulous purple hoodie wizard robe (hint hint ^^)

I would almost expect a character screen with a zoomed rotatable character view. It has been a long while since I have seen a game stray from this basic feature. It just works. If there is another option though, I would welcome a change.

Character screens generally have zoomable / rotateable views because that is often pretty much the only way you can see the results of your customization (though some games have an 'invisible helmet' option). For the main view in D:OS, the RPGWatch article mentions being able to zoom the camera in or out.

+1 for wanting robes (and not just for the female character, please)

That's not really the Planescape Torment route then or The Witcher route as both games - as I recall - had zero attire customization and The Witcher only had like four armor sets if I recall. It's no biggie for me if we can't select a face or hairstyle for our character but I'm hoping for lots of armor which match each and everyone class we can make. Divinity needs some robes for those who want to be a wizard and I'd like capes and cloaks too. Divinity has always had great customization so I don't see why it would stop here since this is technically meant to be the spiritual successor to Divine Divinity but even more improved.

In terms of looks The Witcher really only had 3 styles (2 armors and no armor).
Character face and hair customization is not an issue with me, definitely not in an isometric game like this. I barely used the features in any of the Divinity games.
I did use them a lot in Dragon Age Origins, because you're always looking at your characters' faces, and the features were so extensive.

A couple questions that have been lurking in my mind.
Will the editor only be for world editing/adventures?
Will it allow monster editing, armor creation (at least stat wise), and character creation?
