There are some markers on the map for main plot quests, but generally not a lot of hand holding. For the most part you will come across more information, or a relevant NPC/item/location just by exploring.

FWIW, opponents give more experience when you are at a lower level, and less if you are higher, while quests give fixed experience. Unless you are running into trouble with combat and there are no other areas to explore, or you simply want to clear out some quests, it is a little better to delay turning in quests. That helps with levelling more near the start of the game, though; by the end of the game it is not going to make a huge difference (maximizing experience points).

If you need help with specific quests, you can probably find the answer with a forum search, or post.

Dragon Knight Saga FAQ/Guide

There is a guide (with screenshots) and walkthrough for the original release of D2:ED, though a few changes were made in DKS (particularly in the flying fortresses).

Some quests you will be told where to go, others may have vague directions and some none at all. If you don't have an idea of what to look for, something will turn up as you explore.

okay some interesting keybord letters to help you out

M = map overview (also works inside dungeons)
K = skills list
E = action (interact with the world around you)
I = inventory list (you can also go to the other lists
1-8 = pressing them long you can asign potions and skils

F9 = quick load a game
F10 = quick save a game

for the rest it's up to you how to deside to solve the quests.
a good idea is save your game before you do the mindread. after you done that and it isn't help you then reload.

good luck and if youo have questions then mail me and I will try to answer them;)
