You guys stated in one of your videos that you actually developed an entire board game.

I know it got implemented in the game but will we be able to play the actual board game? Perhaps include the overlay of the board game and such for limited edition copies of the game.

Just wondering :P

We're toying very strongly with that idea tbh.

That would be a beautiful limited edition. It doesn't always have to be a small statue.

A board game may actually be a great way for me to introduce this to my friends... we used to have regular get-togethers to play Risk.

You should go to the Spiel International game fair in Essen, Germany, in October, and look there for possible distributors.
It's said to be the biggest board games fair in Europe, or even in the world ?

It's pretty international, too.
Both in terms of customers & booths.

Are you releasing the board game as a standalone product later on after the release of DC? No idea how the board game industry works but getting it noticed by a manufacturer or publisher (is that the right word?) might see you making more board games in the future. A good sideline to making PC and console games.

Some interesting reading on the viability of board game sales http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/22976/board-game-sales-stats-now-with-sources

I believe the team at Larian had CONSIDERED releasing as stand alone. My guess is it would be published by 999games.

stand alone would be good, but that would mean less funding and time going into future divinity games, not much, but if only it was another 2 months in FoVs development time they could of managed to get in *Start Spoilers* a proper confrontation with Rhode *End spoilers* and board game development might detract such an amount of time, or maybe even more.

its a nice idea but going stand along would get rid of the appeal of pre-ordering the edition of DC with the board game in it.

Yeah I can't really see it being a stand alone product. Maybe if DC gets a LOT of pre-orders..

Who knows? :p

In Germany, board games sell. It would be viable.

If a board game or even a card game exists, I'd like group play and solitaire play to be available. I've seen it with the following games so far...

Wizards of The Coast Legend of Drizzt: A Dungeons and Dragons Board Game

Dungeons and Dragons: Castle Ravenloft Board Game

Wrath of Ashardalon: A D&D Boardgame

Hmmmmm I have to say that I was not that much interesting by DC (I have stopped the RTS a long time ago) but the idea of a boardgame seduced me a lot !! (as being a big party games player^^). Is the game available in french? How many copy will be sold? When and where can we pre-order it?

Hey, cool. I love this thread lol

Releasing bits and pieces about the board game would be great to see. Provided that there's no actual DC stuff coming out soon on the youtubes >:)
