Are you releasing the board game as a standalone product later on after the release of DC? No idea how the board game industry works but getting it noticed by a manufacturer or publisher (is that the right word?) might see you making more board games in the future. A good sideline to making PC and console games.
Some interesting reading on the viability of board game sales
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/22976/board-game-sales-stats-now-with-sources I believe the team at Larian had CONSIDERED releasing as stand alone. My guess is it would be published by 999games.
stand alone would be good, but that would mean less funding and time going into future divinity games, not much, but if only it was another 2 months in FoVs development time they could of managed to get in *Start Spoilers* a proper confrontation with Rhode *End spoilers* and board game development might detract such an amount of time, or maybe even more.
its a nice idea but going stand along would get rid of the appeal of pre-ordering the edition of DC with the board game in it.
