No you are not the only one; I didn't really get the ending either. I wondered what / where the prison you and the divine are trapped in was as well. The memory battle did not seem to make sense either I wondered if you were the dragon knight that killed the divine too. I just shrugged it off thinking that the whole point of the game plot was for Ygerna to trick you into becoming imprisoned which I was really P****ed off about. The whole memory battle thing just seemed pointless as far as the story went.
