Do you really hate the isometric viewpoint THAT MUCH that it's impossible to connect with your character at all?
i dont hate it, it just, because the camera is so far away i feel so distant from my character, i think that divine divinity is less of a story driven RPG than divinity 2, the only real good moment was when i saw Zandelor in divine divinity, it made me smile, but if i hadn't played divinty 2 and grown to be his friend, i would of just said "oh, a generic wize old guy with wizards robes, like thats not in every other fantasy RPG i have played ever" its like real life, personality and relationships between the character, the player, and the NPCs are what makes everything unique, thus far in divine divinty i have not felt that, but i guess i can be the judge of that when i finally finish the game.
The third person perspective can be more immersive, but at least with the controls in DKS it limits the world interaction quite a bit.
yes, i did wonder why there wasn't as much interaction in the environment in divinty 2, but to be honest it didn't bother me.
