i think that divine divinity is less of a story driven RPG than divinity 2
Jokes on you, but dialogues in DD were much better than in Div2 and the world is more consistent and rich. Just take a look at the locations we saw and visited, at how colorful and different they were, at the amount of characters you could talk with and what you could talk about. At quests and their details. DD's world was (described ) more detailed than Div2 is, especially considering the fact how loose the connections (many setting/story wise errors were pointed during these 3 years) between these two game are (so D2 does not really uses familiar "base").
I don't really understand how the perspective and PoV is the issue when it comes to character development and world interaction, but well... to each his own?
